Using ASP.NET 4.5.1 on Azure WebSites
Is there a way to try out ASP.NET 4.5.1 on an Azure Web site? It only offers V3.5 and V4.5 as .NET Framework versions.

This is not possible at this time.  There have been no announcements as to when Azure will support .NET 4.5.1, though I suspect it will likely happen at RTM.

The reason why I'm asking is because my existing sites "Dashboard" does not allow me to reconfigure my sites to 4.5.1.

The choices we have are .Net 3.5 or, .Net 4.5.

The .Net Framework 4.5.1 is not listed as an option.

Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong place?

I'll try again and see what I can find.

Thanks,

~ Dave

I've reviewed the current options listed and find that we are not able to change our existing websites to 4.5.1.

The choices remain as they were before; 3.5 and 4.5.

It seems logical to me that we'd have the added option to migrate our existing sites to 4.5.1 so I'll keep asking; when will this option be made available to us?

If it's not going to be made available then please let us know that so we can plan accordingly.

Thank you,

~ Dave

Hi Dave,

I posted an ASP.NET 4.5.1 site to Azure and selected the 4.5 option. Everything worked, so it's worth a try.
