User account settings not retained on Windows Server 2008 workstation
I have recently implemented a new Windows 2008 Server with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and File server roles implemented. There are 27 users accounts and 16 workstations in the domain ( a mix of XP and Win 7).
All users have been set up across the workstations. Two of the workstations (XP) had one user account (seperate users) logged in and configured--i.e. mapped drives, desktop settings etc.
When the user logs off at the end of the day, no settings are retained. When the user logs back in all previously settings are lost. Oddly on one XP machine, after two or three loggoff/logins, the settings reappeared. The other XP
machine had to have the user configured 3 times before the settings have been retained.
ideas?
