User Profile / Passwords
I'd change their password to something temporary (but still secure), troubleshoot, tell them what I've changed their password to and get them to reset it when they next login. Cheers, Howard Simpson CENTREL Solutions

Hi, Not sure if this is the right area but just got a question. If a senior member in the organistion is having issues with his/her profile what is the best way to log onto his account without obtaining his/her password? Is there a way to temporary reset the password for 30 minutes for troubleshooting then revert the original password? If not what do other IT professional do? Thanks in advance. Mark

Hi Mark, >Is there a way to temporary reset the password for 30 minutes for troubleshooting then revert the original password? As far as I know that there is really no way to do that. I am agree with what Howard replied. We couldn't revert to the original password, we should tell them to manually change password. There is a policy called "Enforce password history", if the setting is not "0", it means that users old password should not be userd continually.
