The users on our network have their My Documents redirected to a Windows Server 2003 machine. A user recently got married and had a last name change. Last names are part of their login, so now when the user logs into a machine that has a profile under her old login, her redirected documents do not show up. I have to delete her profile from each machine she uses so that her new profile is created. Also is there an easier way to make a user name change or is it better just to create a new user.

it would be less painfull to just create a new user and then copy over all of her files.

Try to find the solution in the Group policy. I think I saw something about changing user name in there. You might also check for the registry.
