No. Only files on the local machine go to the recycle bin when deleted. Files deleted from network shared files are gone. Bill

In Windows Server 2008, roaming user profiles would store a recycle bin file at the root of the users profile. So if the user has a fully redirected user profile, you will note a hidden file/folder stored at the root of their directory on the remote server. However, if the users empty the recycle bin, which most do. That data will be lost. You might however, be able to get lucky with file recovery software installed on the Server itself. The data isn't actually gone, its just marked with a delete bit. The rest of the data is still there as long as its not overwritten. The hard disk will not overwrite that file until it restarts its cycle of writting when the physical disk is full at the end of the disk. Like a record player... So you should have a fair amount of time to recover that data that was in that space.Steve Kline Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Server Administrator Microsoft Certified Product Specialist Microsoft Certified Network Product Specialist Red Hat Certified System Administrator This posting is "as is" without warranties and confers no rights.

Thank you both for the info. If I recall correctly I though Novel had that, and hoped Windows Server had this option. Thanks in advance
