Hi, Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter can use 2 TB RAM totally, if the hardware can also support. Based on the current situation, please try to install the hotfix the following Microsoft KB article provides: Windows Server 2008 R2 cannot be installed or started on a computer that has 1 TB or more of RAM http://support.microsoft.com/kb/980598 If it does not work, please also update the BIOS and the chipset drivers. If the issue persists, please contact your vendor, HP to check if the hardware devices can support 2 TB RAM.
