Upgrading DC controller from server 2008 standard to enterpise
Hey all I have 2 Windows server 2008 R2 64Bit Standard Edition domain controllers. I want to upgrade them both to Enterpise edition. Is this operation just to insert the enterpise media and chose upgrade? Is there any thing that i need to know, or is this operation just straight forward.

Hello Mr X, there is a typo in DCDIAG the "G" is missing. And you mixed replication and healthcheck, for replication is used "repadmin" instead or new ADREPLSTATUS http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30005 For the rest i agree of course with Mr X. I prefer also new installs instead of in-place upgrades on DCs.Best regards Meinolf Weber MVP, MCP, MCTS Microsoft MVP - Directory Services My Blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/mweber/ Disclaimer: This posting is provided AS IS with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
