Upgrading Cluster to SP1
We have a 4 node cluster we use for Hyper-V. I know when we went from 2008 to 2008 R2 there was no way to upgrade and we had to basically rebuild the entire cluster as a new cluster. With SP1 am I able to upgrade the cluster nodes one at a time until they are all upgraded to SP1 or is is more involved like the upgrade from 2008 to 2008 R2? My gut tells me that since it is just a SP and not a major version change like 2008 to R2 that I can just simply upgrade the nodes in place, but just want to double check. Thanks

Hi Dan, Yeah, it's pretty straight forward when it comes to service packs, just make sure the node your working on is paused until you have completed the installation and rebooted. ;) See also: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/174799Regards, Nathan Owen (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) - Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you.
