Hi Falcon,

Upgrade your client through local account and make sure that the your SCOM run as accoutn must be the local admin on all the servers/boxes.

For upgrading, just install the higher version of agent on to the box where the lower version of agent is already installed. It would automatically upgrade the agent version.
