Upgrade 8.0.19 isn't working.
I am using my macbook air and was able to log on remotely yesterday evening using the Remote Desktop App.  This morning I was not able to log on and even after installing the upgrade, I have not been able to log on.  The RD app says it is connecting but nothing happens.  What can I do to fix this?  Is anyone else having this issue?  Please help me.

Can you tell us more about your setup? Are you connecting to your personal desktop, work or using remote resources? Any additional information on the set-up will help us to work on your issue.

I'm having the same problem.

It makes me so mad when automatic updates are applied and you end up loosing all functionality as a result.

Everytime I try to connect, I get "connection reset by peer".  It was running perfectly yesterday before the upgrade!!

How do I get the old version back please?

With regards to my issue, I am connection via an iMac with latest OS and patches, and trying to connect to a Windows 2008 server (MHS) and was running perfectly yesterday, but today since the upgrade of RDP, i get the error "connection reset by peer" everytime I try to establish a RDP connection....

Same here, can't connect with .19! And I checked that i can connect via other means.

I am connecting through a remote connection gateway. But was able to do it just fine until .19 came along. Now upon connection all i see is a WHITE screen and nothing else. (Yeah I would like to het .18 back for the moment).

Thats for starting it in full screen. When I start without fullscreen enabled, the connection window appears and immediately closes.

Can you please advise?

I discovered that when I try to connect from my iMac running OS X 10.10.5, I had to connect the VPN first via System Preferences NetWork Details. The Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.19 does not connect the VPN even though it has the same VPN details.

I faced the same issue "connection reset by peer" with ver .19

Using Windows rdp clients works normally.

The only way I resolve this is to change the server connection security down from SSL to RDP Security Layer. I was using self-signed cert.

You can undo the update via using time machine. right click on programs->open in finder, start time machine, select a date before update date and then select the microsoft remote desktop app to recover.

The beta version works fine and all, but there is no clipboard and drive sharing in the beta for some reason.

Hi

I'm also seeing issues with failing to connect or the white screen. I have several users who can't access our RDS gateway after updating to 8.0.19 on their MACs. RDP works fine on the LAN but not remotely via RDS Gateway. No issues on any of the previous versions. The RDP clients reach the RDS gateway via an ISA 2006 server, but this does not show the client traffic reaching the ISA server.

The problem I'm having is that I can't see the mouse pointer.  I'm on 10.10.5 connecting to an XP machine.  Same problem in both 8.0.19 and 8.2.8 beta.

Same for me.  I was connecting fine until the first of September when I upgraded to .19.  Can still use the client on my iPhone from the same network.

Problem config:

iMac running MRD v8.0.19 connecting over VPN to Windows 8 machine.

Worked with previous Mac client.

Still works with iPhone client.

Resolved by using feature-poor beta.

Same issue, Remote Desktop App for MAC Version 8.0.19 (Build 26665) - Broken/a Bug. Windows Home Server no longer accessible.
Windows 7 Systems work fine. Here is an excerpt of the LOG FILE:

NOTE: Just like other users I was able to do a workaround by using: A) An Old Version of MS RDP, and by downloading the new "BETA" version of MS RDP. Fact remains, MS broke something in the 8.0.19 release. I just can't be arsed to go looking for it in detail. An annoyance, as usual.
