Unable to start the service using net start command
Hi I am trying to start one my windows service, on W2k3 server, using the net start command in a script but no. of times it use to get failed with following error and after that I need to start the service manually; ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NET START FCPSVG3 FCPSVG3 service is starting.................... FCPSVG3 service could not be started. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3523. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Would be great help if one can provide the step to troubleshoot the same :) TIA Nitin Y

Hi, There is no error logged in any event log, but, yes I am not able to see the information event ID 7036, in system event log, which state that the service has entered in running state. --Nitin Y.

Hi Mike, It's a service developed by third party and is use to run an important application, but that is not my problem I am just looking for a procedure provided by Microsoft which can provide the details that why it is not able to start with net start command, is there any debug process to analysis the same, I know it can be done by that party but I am looking it for my self... Few days earlier I went through with an article which contain the steps how to debug the start of any service but at the moment I am not able to find the same :(, could you help me with that... Hi, Service Controller tool (SC.exe) can be used to debug services.
