Unable to extend volume
I have a server running 2008 Standard Edition that I've attempted to extend the C: drive on.
The server is running on VMWare, and I added disk space such that it was contiguous. Disk Management allowed me to extend the partition and shows the new size correctly, but Explorer still shows the volume as being the old size. We've done this many times
before without problems.... is there something I'm missing? The partition type shows as Basic. Does it need to be converted to Dynamic?

Hi,
Actually this should be a VMWare related question but not Windows Server.
Here is an article about extend drive in VMWare:

Note: On July 1st we will be making Windows Server 2008 R2 General forum read only. After receiving a lot of feedback from the community, it was decided
that this forum is a duplication and therefore redundant of the General Forum. So, until July 1st, we will start asking customers to redirect their questions to the General Forum. On June 11th, CSS engineers will move any new threads to the General Forum.
Please post a reply to the announcement thread if you have any feedback on this decision or the process. You can also email WSSDComm@microsoft.com.
