Unable to communicate on port 14004 Windows Server 2008 R2, firewall off
I have one of seven servers that have an application that communicates on port 14004. I have installed the software successfully on six of seven servers. On the last server it appears that no ports are open beyond port 80. The Windows firewall is
turned off as this is an intranet server and sits behind an external and an internal firewall. On the side this is a database server running MSSQL 2008 R2 as well and is part of a SharePoint farm. My other farm database server installed without a problem.
So I am trying to figure out what might be causing the ports to be blocked on this server. I have created inbound rules for the Windows firewall even though it is turned off. Any ideas would be most helpful.

Hi LonF1,
Thanks for posing here.

Id suggest to first ensue these ports did been blocked by this server but not a connectivity issue by using portqry.
Using PORTQRY for troubleshooting

The default dynamic port range for TCP/IP has changed in Windows Vista and in Windows Server 2008
