Unable to access shared foldder through VPN
HI all, please help me on the below issue When accessing the shared or mapped network drive via VPN asking for the credential and after providing the credential getting the error "The user name you type is the same as the user name you logged in with. That user name has already been tried. A domain controller cannot be found to verify that user name" but it will work fine with the LAN connection

Hi Shweta T, Check whether you have any entries in the Stored User Names and Passwords (Control Panel\User Acconts\Advanced) - if so, remove them and try again... Consider using the Account Lockout and Troubleshooting tools. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7af2e69c-91f3-4e63-8629-b999adde0b9e&displaylang=en I have info on troubleshooting lockouts, which may be related at: http://www.pbbergs.com/windows/articles/UserAccountLockoutTroubleshooting.html Hope this help you. Hi, Have you installed RRAS on the DC? Is the DC has more than one NIC? If so, please remove it. Please note that mutlihomed domain controllers are not recommended. Please check the following article. Multihomed DCs with DNS, RRAS, and/or PPPoE adapters http://msmvps.com/blogs/acefekay/archive/2009/08/17/multihomed-dcs-with-dns-rras-and-or-pppoe-adapters.aspx Best Regards, AidenAiden Cao TechNet Community Support
