Unable to access a remote website from my DMZ
Dear all, I dont know if its the right forum to post this question. I have my network setup with a DMZ. When I am accessing a remote website from my DMZ from a server running a windows server 2008 r2, I am not able to do so. The remote website is an application that allow for logins & download of forms. I have allowed all ports in the windows firewall. But when I am accessing the same remote website from my DMZ from a lap running either windows xp or Windows 7, I am able to access the application. Is ther some configuration or access that needs to be allowed given in the windows server 2008 r2 os. Any help is appreciated. Many thanks vinay

AFAIK no. Please check that you are able to ping the server. Also, check that you are able to solve its DNS name using nslookup (Make sure that your 2008 R2 server is using the correct DNS server). Don't forget to check if there is a firewall / router that is blocking the traffic. If you have security softwares on your 2008 Server, disable it and check if this solve your problem.
