Am using JDBC Driver 4.0 to connect third party application to SQL Server, but when connecting i keep getting this driver error;
"Login Failed for user"
i checked TCP/IP enabled.

hmm, I guess the user "user" does not exist.

User exists, am using windows authentication mode.

If you are using windows authentication mode then you should change that to mixed mode. User 'user' looks SQL login not windows login.
Make sure that Authentication Mode of the SQL server Mixed Mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication).
