Two Servers, one external IP address, Sharepoint on one server and Exchange on the other.
I am not sure where to post this question. I have two servers 2003 standard, one running exchange 2003, one running Sharepoint WSS 3.0I need both of these to be available from the internet, but I only have one static IP. I can get exchange to work, or I can get WSS to work, but I can't get them both to work.I have setup two sub domains, one is mail.company.com and the other is sp.company.com Both point to the same static ip, but as expected also when it hits the router gets routed to the internal ip setup on the router for port 80.We are accessing the server(s) with iPhones, and exchange works perfectly with it, and Safari also works with the WSS depending on how I setup the router, but I can't get both working.ThanksClarence

You need to enable NAT, either on the router or on one of the servers.

Hello Clardy,I am assuming that the static IP is the public IP pfrom the router? If so, either enable NAT on the router or install DHCP role in one of the servers to distribute private IPs to your network, then use these private IPs for WSS and Exchange respectively on the router to forward the appropriate ports.. I know exchange is Port 25 I am not sure about WSS port. Hope this helps,Isaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE

Thanks Isaac and bnborg, but the problem is that they both use port 80. However I found that I could extend the web application in WSS and have it use a different port and/or host header. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.Clarence
