We are trying to set up server 2008 to run a particular task upon receipt of an email (to process the information received in that email) from one of our customers. I am having trouble trying to find Task Scheduler triggers for either outlook or exchange. Does anyone know how this can be done? At the moment we are testing timed triggers which run every 30 minutes which is not quick enough. Any ideas?

You are not getting this out of the box. Nothing as simple as a Windows Task will do this. Consider using SQL Server and maybe SharePoint for some of this. Then with the workflow engine, you can have your way. Otherwise, you'll need to look 3rd party. *a
