Tracking root node name in BAM using TPE

Hi

I need to track the XSD field values in BAM.Along with the fields I also have to track the root node name .Is it possible to track the root node name using TPE or should I use BAM API's to track it .Please advice .Thanks in advance .

As far as BAM Activity is concerned, it is another field. TPE however, IMHO does not have the capability to translate a Schema Node into a string literal for assignment to a BAM Field. TPE also does not permit you to assign a constant value to a BAM Field. So that rules out TPE.

Using the BAM API however you can always assign the root node. To use the BAM API you'd need to necessarily have some programming involved either an orchestration or pipeline component.

The root node will be the same unless you have multiple message types (orchestrations or maps) so what do you hope to achieve by tracking it - curios minds want to know.

Regards.
