Top processes reading from the disk
Dear all,
I noticed high numbers of Disk Reads/sec and Disk Read bytes/sec in perfmon on Server 2008 R2.
At times - several times per day - applications are freezing for about 10-30 seconds.
Is there any way to see the processes reading the disk ?

DiskMon is an application that logs and displays all hard disk activity on a Windows system. You can also minimize
DiskMon to your system tray where it acts as a disk light, presenting a green icon when there is disk-read activity and a red icon when there is disk-write activity.

The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode
that Process Explorer is in: if it is in handle mode you'll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened; if
Process Explorer is in DLL mode you'll see the DLLs and memory-mapped files that the process has loaded.
Process Explorer also has a powerful search capability that will quickly show you which processes have particular handles opened or DLLs loaded.
