Tons of Security-SPP events in event log
Since a couple of days ago, I get 11 events like these every 2 minutes. Other people in this forum seem to be having this problem too but nobody has found a cause/solution yet. Running WS2008R2. I tried reactivating; that didn't help. Office is not installed. Visual Studio, SQL server, BizTalk are installed. Everything seems to be working normally. Same problem. WS 2008 R2, event log has 13,606 events, approx 7,322 are from "Security-SPP" , all "information", all about the SPP service starting, stopping, checking licenses etc. Worst case is exactly every 5 minutes it generates exactly 5 messages. Help? Event logs full of noisy messages are just about as useful as no event logs at all.

I am experiencing this problem as well. The events are replicating also across all my domain controllers as well. One thing I noticed was if I use the WIN7 RSAT tools "Event viewer" to remotely check the event logs on my domain controllers I get about 5 of these errors every two minutes. If I close the custom mmc and rdp into the domain controller the SPP events stop. If I clear the log no events. If I open the custom mmc from my win7 workstation and check the event viewers the SPP events start filling the event log again.Network Admin

Sorry they are not replicating across the domain controllers I was checking them as well using the remote event viewers and they were filling up on their own from my rsat tool..Network Admin
