Time is off by 7 minutes on the network
Hello All,
Computers on our network are off by 7 minutes. I confirmed the source of the time server is same on all the machines. The time server has the right time but not the other servers or the workstations. The Servers are in VM environment.
Could you please help. I will provide details for questions you may have.
Appreciate your help.

Hello Meliye,
Whats the time on your vmware host?
Are you syncing guest time with vmware host from the vmware tools? that can cause consistent time different on all server.

What is the time source? If it is a DC running on the VM environment it will keep loosing time due to the way VMWare deals with CPU resource allocation. essentially not providing the DC with consistant CPU cycles which means it will think time
is going a bit slower than it should.
If your DC is virtual you want to sync time with an external time source to the VM host(s) - Get all the guests to sync with the VMware hosts - this will keep it consistent across the estate.
If your DC is physical then you just leave windows to sync with the DC time as it would normally - turn off guest time sync - get the DC's to then sync with an external source to make sure everything ticks along nicely.
Many Thanks
