Time Syn issue

Hi All,

One my network there is some time mismatch happening

all the systems are getting time from a GPO and there were plenty GPO So, its diificult to check which GPO is pushing time in to machines

It would be helpful if you let u know on this

 how to find the GPO which is responsible for time

The easiest way to figure out what GPO, is applying the time source server is login to a workstation, open RSOP.msc and expand where the time source policy is applied. You will then see what GPO it is coming from. From there you cann modify it as you see fit. Personally I like to just allow the Time source hierarchy to distribute the time source to clients. This way you are not tied to one DC and it also distributes the load across all DC's.

Hi,

I agree with wills  answer,time configuration in Active Directory can use GPO with WMI filter or create  a global setting GPO ,if you want to learn more information, please refer to this article,  https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc784929(v=ws.10).aspx

In addition, You could also find GPO which is responsible for time by using gpresult command. It will create a detailed report about applied GPO.
