Through SSIS DQS Cleansing component I get Blank / Empty Column Status and Record Status for few rows rather than New, Correct, Corrected or Invalid

This is a strange behavior I am noticing when about 50,000 rows gets cleansed through SSIS DQS Cleansing component the Status for Column and Record is blank rather it should be one of these values (New, InValid, Correct or Corrected). If I open the same SSIS Cleansing project through DQS Client I see similar behavior for different rows though. Has anybody noticed it and if so let me know the fix if you know one.

I am on running this on SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU4 developer edition.

Thanks,

The support team is investigating a similar issue. We will check the thread in approximately 1 month after the investigation is complete. Ping us again with a reply on here in mid-Feb 2014 in case we forget.

Thanks, Jason

We are still working on the support case I mentioned. Will let you know when a fix for that issue becomes available because it sounds very similar. It will be another month I suspect. Sorry for the delay.

same problem on over 1500000 records

We released one fix that might help the large batch problem for DQS cleansing from SSIS.

FIX: Error when you use DQS Cleansing component with large batch in an SSIS 2012 package http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2960989

The fix was shipped in the cumulative update 10 for SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1, so you would need to install SP1 and this CU10 download on the server where the SSIS packages run.

Download CU10 from here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2954099/

After installation, do realize you will have to run DQSInstaller.exe with the upgrade switches so it can refresh the CLR procedures and schema within the DQS databases. I recommend to make a backup of the DQS_MAIN and DQS_PROJECTS for safe measure before running any upgrades.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj125366.aspx

cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn
dqsinstaller.exe -upgrade
dqsinstaller.exe -upgradedlls

Thanks, Jason

Hi All,

We had the same problem and we upgraded our platform to SQL Server 2014 SP1 CU2 (Build 12.0.4422) but nothing changed. We still have rows with empty column status after cleansing 15000 rows with SSIS DQS Componant.

Any Idea ?

I installed SP1 and then SP1 CU2, do I have to install CU1 before CU2 ?

Thanks,

Florent

I'm seeing the same issue with 2012/SP2, and it seems to be unrelated to the KB article listed. Batch size appears to be irrelevant and there's no error being produced. Some records just get skipped and passed through as-is.

Are there any updates or hotfixes?

I don't know of that one. You would have to work with assisted support to troubleshoot the issue in detail. I don't think it is an issue which I heard of a fix for before.
