Hello,

I'm configuring the SSRS to new environment. For that,

1) I have restored the DB Backup

2) Reporting service configuration done.

When i open the report url getting the error message " The report server installation is not initialized." 

In that existing setup were using the custom security login page. So i have placed the dll in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin,    and refering in rssrvpolicy.config file.

I have modified 

Since i'm new to SSRS, Can you please guide me anything i have missed for this configuration setup?

This is because of the mismatch in the encryption key.
To fix this, either restore the encryption key from the live environment or delete the encryption key from the restored reporting services database.
The restoration or deletion of encryption key can be done by using the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

There are generally two possible causes for this issue which are listed in this article, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159086.aspx

If you did not do the backup/restore of the encryption key, then you encounter the 2nd scenario mentioned in the above article. Backup/restore of an encryption key is critical for the migration process. You have to restore the encryption key so as to access your reportserver database without any data loss. Please follow the steps in the following articles for a successful SSRS migration:

Hello,

When i create new Database configuration, its working fine.

But actually i want to use the existing DB , 

For that I have done the below steps, 

-          Taken the Encryption Key Back up from existing Instance

-          Restore the Encryption Key

-          Restored the DB to new the new server

Please help me to resolve the issue.
