The Hyper-V-VMMS Log Contains Event ID 29414

In our Hyper V 2012 (non R2 !) environment, the hosts are reporting errors like the below....

'9E0348EA-1374-481B-A3C1-1F2672DE1DD3' failed to create scheduled task based on information stored in the respository: Unspecified error (0x80004005). (Virtual machine ID 9E0348EA-1374-481B-A3C1-1F2672DE1DD3)

------ There is no real VM with this UUID.. Maybe a deleted one..

Question I have is :

Should I worry about the above?

If not, how can I stop the error being created in Hyper -v vmms log?

Hi Sydney IT guy,

Please run the powershell script bellow to get the vmid:

get-vm| select vmname,vmid

I'm confused about the event id, since I got no idea about this event online, would you please also provide more detailed infomation about this error.

If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

Best Regards,

Hi Anna

Apologies for coming so late...

There is no 'VM' to be found in the eventlog.. Just a UUID..

Is there any command that gets the VM name from UUID?

Alternatively I can copy/paste the whole event log.. I avoided that since there will be too much info .
