The DNS host A records are not updating the timestamp.. i have enabled scavenging but the records with a older timestamp are not updating.

Hi,
You might have missed this part reading the info in ace's blog pointing to this link:
"Once a timestamp is set on a record it will replicate around to all servers that host the zone. There is one caveat to this. If scavenging is not enabled on the zone that hosts the record then it will never scavenge so the timestamp is essentially irrelevant.
The timestamp may get updated on the server where the client dynamically registers but it will not replicate around to the other servers in the zone."
Don't be afraid of DNS scavenging. Just be patient:

right - the timestamps will get updated after the scavanging "really starts". scavanging waits for the whole of its interval before starting - the timestamps are veeery old, so it cannot start immediately which would purge out most records.

Hi,
Scavenging has already run for a period of 6 weeks already. I can see the event logs of 2501 on the DNS.
