The Best Test/Study Environment
I am preparing to take some mroe tests. I want to virtually build a 2008 domain with a possibility of 2-3 DC's and 2-3 clients, all built virtually and offline from my network here at work. What is best way to accomplish this for free? Which is the best software to use. I need to be able to access all of the PC's at one time. So i would need multiple VM's running at once. Thank you for the help!

I have used VirtualBox in the past. It works well, is free, and can run 64-bit client OS's so it is perfect for the new products. http://www.virtualbox.org/ Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

I would recommend that you take a look at Microsoft's virtualization product for workstation, Virtual PC. If you are running XP, you would install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1. For 64 bit guests, you'll have to go with VMWare, VirtualBox, or some others. Here is a video on how to install it. Generally, the more RAM you have, the more virtuals you can run simultaneously. Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.
