The Background Intelligent Transfer Service service terminated with service-specific error 2147943763 (0x80070553).
Rebooting the server "fixed" the problem. Not sure what actually caused this to happen. We reboot servers every Friday, but according to
net statistics server command it had only been up ~90 hours. It is possible that perhaps some application is causing this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2283089).

Description:
The Background Intelligent Transfer Service service terminated with service-specific error 2147943763 (0x80070553).
We are unable to start the service manually. I have Googled for solutions on this, but the only things I find are outdated/missing/404 webpages or solutions that only apply to Windows XP. Thanks!
