Rebooting the server "fixed" the problem. Not sure what actually caused this to happen. We reboot servers every Friday, but according to net statistics server command it had only been up ~90 hours. It is possible that perhaps some application is causing this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2283089).

We are trying to resolve a problem we discovered through the event logs. This is the error: Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7024 Date: 01/31/12 Time: 12:48:22 PM User: N/A Computer: RealServer123 Description: The Background Intelligent Transfer Service service terminated with service-specific error 2147943763 (0x80070553). We are unable to start the service manually. I have Googled for solutions on this, but the only things I find are outdated/missing/404 webpages or solutions that only apply to Windows XP. Thanks!
