Terminal Server (Windows Server 2008 R2) rebooted unexpectedly
My terminal server rebooted unexpectedly, here is what the Event Viewer shows: Event 41, Kernel-Power: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. Event 1001, Bug Check: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xfffff8200b805928, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff800018f27ab, 0x0000000000000005). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 013111-140666-01. Event 6008, EventLog: The previous system shutdown at 09:46:26 on ‎31-‎Jan-‎11 was unexpected. Event 1076, USER32: The reason supplied by user TS-SRV\Administrator for the last unexpected shutdown of this computer is: Other (Unplanned) Reason Code: 0xa000000 Problem ID: Bugcheck String: Comment: The MEMORY.DMP has about 670 MB. Why did this happen ? I want to understand and of course to prevent this from happening again. Thank you in advance....

You may need to analyze the crash dump file to analysis the root cause of the issue. I also included a MSDN blog to describe how to install Windbg and get the memory dump as followed. How to install Windbg and get your first memory dump http://blogs.msdn.com/johan/archive/2007/01/11/how-to-install-windbg-and-get-your-first-memory-dump.aspx In case if you are not able to resolve the issue you may also contact Microsoft Customer Service directly so that the memory dump file can be analyzed and this issue can be resolved efficiently. You may obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: https://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx?iid=174859&iguid=56907522-6886-4238-a70f-a1d06a4473c7_2_2&rdpath=1http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin
