Telnet Server Asian Language Support
Hello Everyone Does Microsoft Telnet Server support asian languages on the server side? I have seen MS documentation on the subject, but it seems to point towards client support of asian languages. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771135(WS.10).aspx

Hi, What do you mean by saying “Does Microsoft Telnet Server support Asian languages on the server side”? Telnet supports the four Asian languages: Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese, and you must use a TrueType font in the Command Prompt window to properly display the characters used in Asian languages. Also, using Telnet involves three basic steps: 1.Start the Telnet Server program 2.Connect to the Telnet Server and establish a session 3.Run programs in the Telnet session Telnet Server (Tlntsvr.exe) runs as a service, you can start the service manually, or you can configure the service to starts during computer starts. When you run Telnet Client (Telnet.exe), it makes a connection request to the Telnet server. If a Telnet server responds to the request, the Telnet client and server negotiate the details of the connection. After the connection details are successfully negotiated, and logon credentials are validated, the Telnet Server service creates a Telnet command prompt session. On Windows, each Telnet command prompt session consists of two processes: TlntSess.exe and Cmd.exe. TlntSess.exe is responsible for managing the Telnet session. Cmd.exe is the command interpreter, or shell program, that runs commands, programs, or scripts on the host. If Asian language is not recognized on server, how can the Telnet client and server communicate? If I do not get your question, please let me know.
