What is on port 10640? Do you have any service listening on this port? You can get the port details using Netstat –a command Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX Blogs - http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ Articles - http://www.sivarajan.com/publications.html Twitter: @santhosh_sivara - http://twitter.com/santhosh_sivara This posting is provided AS IS with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi, Thank for your post. By default, Telnet servers listen on TCP port 23, so you could use telnet to connect your telnet server with port 23. If you haven't any service that listening on 10640, you couldn't telnet your server on this port.
