What operating system and service pack? What happens if you set it back to 'Automatic' ?Also post any system event log errors since last restart. When you view the logged events in Event Viewer (double-click them in the right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third button down is a copy to clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a reply message.

Hi HidayetAltun,
Please check the following settings of the Task Scheduler Service:
1. Run services.msc to open Services window.
2. Right-click the Task Scheduler service, and then click Properties.
3. On the General tab, make sure that the startup type is set to automatic, and that the service status is Started.
4. On the Log On tab, make sure that the local system account is selected, and that the Allow service to interact with desktop check box has a check mark.
After that, please check if the problem continues.
Regards,
Bruce

Check whether you have the below registry keys in place [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Services\Schedule] Change "Start"=dword:00000004 (Disabled) "Start"=dword:00000002 (Automatic)http://technetfaqs.wordpress.com

If i understood you correctly do mean to say that you changed the value to 2 and it again changed it to 4. If yes please give a clean boot and see the problem occurs again.http://technetfaqs.wordpress.com

Given there are no event log errors it sounds more like malware at work here.Regards,
