Task Scheduler 2.0 General question
In server 2008 or any other OS using task scheduler 2.0 are the drop down boxes for "Repeat task every", "If the task fails, restart every:", etc. also the input boxes that will let me insert my own values. I tried it, but it doesn't seems to be working. Thanx!

Hi, Please provide us more information on this issue and clarify the following questions: 1. What is the function of the task? Such as running script or program? 2. Did you receive any error when running the task? 3. Did the issue occur on one task or several tasks? 4. Can you see any error in the History? 5. Describe your configurations of the task. For further troubleshooting, please help gather the following files: Go to Task scheduler library, locate your task, go to the History tab, in the history panel, highlight all the items, right click and choose Save all event as…., name the file as test.evtx Then, please help gather the Event Log file. 1. Click "Start", click “Run”, input "eventvwr" and press Enter. 2. Expand the "Windows Logs" node on the left pane, right-click on "Application" and click "Save All Events As"; in the pop-up window, click to choose the Desktop icon on the left frame, input "app" in the "File name" blank, and then click save. 3. Right click on "System", with the same method, save it as "sys". 4. Locate the two saved log files on the Desktop and send them to us. Please upload these file to the following workspace. ------------------------------------------------------------ You can upload the information files to the following link. I don't have a problem with it. At least not yet. I'm asking this stupid question because there is hardly any information about it online and in the books about Server 2008. Let me rephrase it: I the task scheduler, when you click create task , go to triggers and in advance options you have plenty of settings. Are the drop down boxes also the fill in boxes? For example I want to repeat the task every 45 minutes, can I just type in 45 minutes? If so, what are the minimum and maximum values I can type into all those drop down boxes in the Create Task. I tried to experiment little bit with my own values, but it did not looked like the task was starting.
