Taking a snapshot of a directory
With Windows 2008 R2 is it possible to take a snapshot of directory? (or can snapshots be taken only of entire volumes). I am trying to take the snapshot of directory is and this what I have tried so far with diskshadow.exe set context persistent nowriters set metadata C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\Volumes\Replica\SharePoint Services Writer\vol_a7d8ea15-7ec7-4e82-86ca-4eb21ff2b937\example.cab set verbose on begin backup add volume c: alias DPM create expose %DPM% X: But my X drive shows content of entire C drive. My objective was that X drive would show me the snapshot of the content in the directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\Volumes\Replica\SharePoint Services Writer\vol_a7d8ea15-7ec7-4e82-86ca-4eb21ff2b937\ Sorry if this is very basic. but I am not able to figure this out.
