TFTP Open Timeout PXE-E32
PXE boot is failing from clients located in the same subnet. The client shows PXE-E32 TFTP Open Timeout and by enabling WDS tracing I can see the following sequence. WDS installed on Windows Server 2008, DHCP is located on another Server. Configured DHCP scope options 66 & 67 as recommended but still no joy. Can anyone explain what the highlighted error means? Hi, For this error, I suggest referring to the following two articles first: http://www.bootix.de/support/problems_solutions/pxe_e32_tftp_open_timeout.html http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX115331 Hope it helps. Tim Quan - MSFT

Tim,Thanks for replying. I had already referred to these articles but they did not really assist. Had to use Microsoft PSS as I had 2 classrooms that urgently needed imaging which was seen as Critical. The fix was to change the ports used by WDS from the default of 4011 - 4011 to 64411 to 65000. It looks like 4011 was being used by something else.Ian
