TCP/IP Settings being reset
I am currently running server 2003 on a Dell 2950. It has 2 broadcom Netextreme II network cards. Whats happens is I enter static TCP/IP settings for the one card I am using, then enter the DNS server and suffix's to be used etc and accept all of these. If I then go back and check the settings it has reverted back to Obtain settings automatically. When I check ipconfig /all the settings are shown correctly there. Any ideas?

I should have mentioned that I tried this also. It all resets fine but still won't keep a static IP address. I have reloaded server 2003 but still no change. My suspicion is centering around the broadcom cards?

Hi, If you have reloaded OS and the problem continues, you may need to update the driver of the network card you use. Meanwhile, please temporarily disable all the security and firewall software when you change the IP address. If the problem persists, check if there is any error in event log. Regards, Bruce
