Sysprep and imagex with unattend xml
I sysprepped my computer in order to image it. after i finish doing the unattend.xml with AIK tool there is a line: <cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="catalog:c:/users/admin/desktop/install_windows server 2008 r2 serverstandard.clg" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /> My question is, when i make the xml file using windows AIK tool, it asks me install.wim and the .clg file, then i create the xml. do i still need the clg and wim file that i used ? Because if i leave them on the desktop the image will be 2gb bigger then what it should be. So after i sysprep the computer with the unattend.xml, can i delete the install.wim and .clg from the desktop ? or it will damage the imagex capture proccess (that i make from winPE).. i believe this is a stupid question and ofcourse i am supposed to delete it, because it makes the image file much bigger.. in my unattend.xml i have copyprofile true, so if it will work, and my .clg and install.wim are on the admin desktop, they will stay there and i dont want that to happen.. if i was in admin and didnt have the copyprofile true, then it will delete all the desktop/ files so im not worried.. but i do use copyprofile true :)

Mods, please remove this duplicate as he still has a recent open question in regards to sysprep. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/thread/a7c5b9ae-f8cc-415a-b8a0-843e67dfd580/#d0fdacf6-cc3b-4e7d-904a-3252306d6060 Steve Kline Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Server Administrator Microsoft Certified Product Specialist Microsoft Certified Network Product Specialist Red Hat Certified System Administrator This posting is "as is" without warranties and confers no rights.
