You should install a third party to make windows2003 as a syslog server. You can download a free software from PRTG here http://www.paessler.com/free_syslog_serverhttp://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin

Andy, Windows 2003 does not have a syslog server built-in. One of my favorites I have used in the past has been Kiwi Syslog. They do have a free version: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/ Adam Curry

I have been using an open source, lightweight and multipurpose server called TFTP32. It works great and is very easy to use. http://tftpd32.jounin.net/ It's regroups a TFTP server/client, DHCP server and Syslog Server all in a tiny package. There is also a 64-bit version and it can be run as a service too. Fully recommend it.

Hello, You can use Event Comb tool. The Event Comb tool is included in the Windows Server 2003 resource kit tools. You can download these tools from the following location: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&DisplayLang=en Thanks
