Synchronize NTP Offset slowly (Correct Offset)
Hello,

My Windows Server 2008 Environment (several other Servers with one DC, test purposes) have a time offset of about 24 hours (in the future) to the actual time. My idea is now to gradually change the time until it is correct. From practical point of view the clock just needs to run slower.

Reason is that I want to avoid to shut down the system for that.

What I tried:

- On PDC who serves as an NTP-Server for all other server an clients and gets his time from external source i tried....

w32tm -resync -rediscover

This resulted that the time was corrected at once (means 24 hours back). I could not find any documentation speaking how to correct that issue. Only resources I found were linux bases (slewing, modify kernel discipline)  Any ideas would be highly appreciated. The changes have to be done on the PDC and also at the same time at the Lync Servers (with the same speed).

Hi,

In order to narrow down the cause of the issue, I suggest we could turn on debug logging for the Windows Time Service. For details, please refer to the following article.
