Switching Windows Server 2003 R2 from Domain to Workgroup
Customer has an old Windows Server 2003 R2 that is running his accounting system. He is moving to a new setup and one of the requirements was that he no longer needs the server to be a domain controller, in fact it has to be workgroup accessible. I found
instructions on Microsoft's site to migrate the server from a domain controller to a workgroup system. It appeared to work, but now the server is shutting down. The message say the server has to be configured as a domain controller and must shutdown because
it does not comply with the EULA. I'm at a loss as to how to correct this problem.
It is now a stand-alone system with a few users remote logging in. Any suggestions on how to get back to a running system without a complete reinstall would be greatly appreciated (I'm not certain I can get the accounting software reinstalled).

This sounds like an SBS server. If so I'd ask them here.
