Support of .Net1.1 with Windows 2008R2 / Windows7?
Hi, I would like to know if there is an offical documentation on the support/ use of .Net 1.1 on Windows server 2008R2 as far as i been searching, there seems to be no offically acticle on this topic. I have some application which during the installation requires .Net1.1 to install properly however when i am installing this on a Windows Server 2008R2, it fails and the Software Vendor refused to acknowledge the dependancy on the .Net 1.1 and the incompactibility with Windows 2008R2. The closest i got was a forum on the iis.net http://forums.iis.net/p/1161226/1918351.aspx#1918351 and http://blogs.charteris.com/blogs/ivorb/archive/2010/07/15/installing-net-1-1-applications-on-windows-server-2008-r2.aspx ---------------- Error Message: RegSvcs.exe - Common Language runtime debugging Service Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0x788 (1928), thread id=0x5f8 (1528). ----------------
