Strange web console problem

Hello, I am running 4 separate "Overhead Display" computers connecting to 2 different Operations Manager Management servers. The Overhead Display computers are connected to large TV displays and the computers are hidden with mouse and keyboard removed.  This is Operations Manager 2012 SP1.

The quickest description I have for this error is as follows.  The highlighted view randomly changes to the next Management Pack Folder in line.  Let me explain.  The first image I uploaded is the view I want displayed on the TV sitting in the room. In image #1, you can see that Operations Manager management pack folder is selected, and Management Group Health is the view.  This is the view I want on the overhead display.

Randomly throughout the day, I will look up and see what you see in picture #2.  Do you see how the highlighted folder is now the Pro management pack and the view is just the name of the new folder?  That's what happens.  Its SOOOO frustrating to have to go into the closet, and get the mouse and then click back on Operations Manager and then click back on Management group health.

Like I said earlier in this post, I have 4 different systems connecting to 2 different management servers (2 overhead display computers are connected to 1 management server and the other 2 are connected to the other one).  All 4 of these systems are exhibiting the same behavior, at different times.

All 4 of these overhead display computers are running Windows 7, All are fully patched, All have had their operating systems installed at different times using different templates and 1 from scratch using a DVD.  All systems are hands off and have no screensavers, power saving, or anything else which can interrupt the display.  It also does not matter what view is selected initially, the result is always the same, the next management pack folder in line is highlighted.  If I start with an SQL Alerts view, the next Management Pack folder will be highlighted and the view will just read the name of the management pack folder.

I hope this explains my issue, please let me know any troubleshooting tips you would go thru to try to diagnose and repair this very strange problem.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The web console view I choose does not matter, so for this example I will choose Standard view on the dashboard

Then multiple times and randomly throughout the day this happens

after some time this happens

Hi,

Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO), a feature of Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM), ties specific alerts from System Center Operations Manager 2007 to remediation actions in VMM.

Niki Han,

Quite clearly you did not read any of my post.

Zach,

couple of things that I would check/try:

 - did this ever work? are you having the same issue from the console, and the web console?

 - did you save that view in your workspace and use that view instead of the one that you are selecting?

 - is this happening with all the views, or just this one that you are mentioning?

I do not think it is an issue with your client, but I do not have info to say that this is a console issue either. That's why you may want to try to isolate if this is something related to the specific MP or any MP, or the view, or something else.

I would start by saving the view in "my workspace" and just using "my workspace" to access the view.

hope this helps.

Jose,

This issue is still ongoing and only happens from the web console, not from a locally installed console.

I will try saving that view to "my workspace", thats a great suggestion.

It is happening from all views on the monitoring tab

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that today.
