Stopping Windows 2003 Server Update during shutdown phase
the disk is low on space and i am into the second hour of waiting for it to update 1 of 12. can this update be stopped?

Hi, If the computer is in the process of "waiting for update", there is no way to stop it except a force shutdown... When boot the computer up, we will need to check the Windows Update issue to avoid it happens again. You can go to check the update which are waiting for installing, download it manually to test if it can be installed.
