Stand Alone Certificate Authority
i deployed stand alone CA on Windows server 2008 R2 SP1 standard when i issue certificate from web interface, i never find user template tab to chose the kind of certificate ( user - web server - EFS recovery agent ) but i have another CA on the DC, and it have the certificate templates, is stand alone ca can't have certificate templates?? coz when i issued exchange server certificate from this CA it's not generated as web certificate and the exchange revoke it Ahmad Samir

Stand-alone CAs in Windows Server do not use certificate templates and the web enrollment requires all information to be supplied manually in the request. /Hasain

Hi, Stand-alone CAs do not use certificate templates. If you use stand-alone CAs, all information about the requested certificate type must be included in the certificate request.
