Hi arifs,

According to your description, we need to verify which ways you choose to configure SQL Server failover cluster on Windows azure. If you choose to create the Virtual Network and Domain Controller Server firstly and then create VM for SQL Server failover cluster, we need to verify if you use a virtual router of VMware and it is not accessible for passive nodes or other VMs.

However, if you choose to use Powershell script to create a cluster in Azure environment. And set cluster IP address to static IP 169.254.1.1, then you cant ping this Cluster IP from passive node due to this local IP address.

For more information about creating WSFC Cluster for AlwaysOn Availability Groups in Windows Azure VM, you can review the following article.

Hi sofiya,

I create the virtual network and domain controller first and then create the nodes for sql server failover cluster. the problem is i can access the virtual ips from the passive node, even the windows cluster ip i cant able to ping from the passive node but the failover cluster manager i can access from both the nodes. i can ping the dc and all ther machines from each other.
