Sites and Services - Transitive Site Links

Hi Guys,

Can someone please confirm that my understanding is correct in regards to transitive site links.

SITE A <----COST=100-----> HUB A <----COST=80----> HUB B <----COST=100----> SITE B

Based on the example above, I know that for a DC in SITE A the ISTG should form an automatic connection to a DC in HUB A.

However am I correct in saying that a DC in SITE A should also be capable of forming a direct (not via HUB A) connection to a DC in HUB B and/or SITE B (assuming all sites links are transitive by default)?

If I look in sites and services for a configuration similar to that shown in the illustration I only see an automatic connection from DC in SITE A to DC in HUB A. Will the DC in SITE A create a new connection to a DC in HUB B if the DC in HUB A fails? Assuming there is only a single DC in HUB A?

My understanding is that I should not have to define a site link for SITE A to HUB B or SITE B manually. Each SITE should only have a single site link configured to the most appropriate HUB site.

Thanks!
