Dear All, It has been observed that my DB server has 24 processors installed which i can see in Device Manager. But in Task Manager i can only see single Processor. During investigation it has been observed that in BOOT.INI /NUMPROC-1 switch is enabled. My query is if i remove this switch what will happened ? Will this effect any thing on my PRODUCTION SERVER? With this switch, you can force a multiprocessor system to use only the quantity of processors (number) that you specify.
