Shutdown server by power button
Hello,
I have windows server 2003
I want to be able to shutdown the server in a safety way by pressing the power button
If no body is logged in it works fine after editing the register key "shutdownwithoutlogon"
But if somebody is logged in , then a prompt will appear that other people are logged in
How to disable or cancel this message

Ramos,
go to start - control panel - power options - advanced - you can change those options there. Anything else is an ACPI setting in your BIOS.
You can also perform the function you want by using shutdown -i from a command prompt and selecting the options to power off without notifying users.*a

Hi,
To power off a computer with power button sounds not a good idea. If somebody is logged in and you want to power off the computer by force, the people
who logged in may lose their current work.
Best Regards,
