Shared Drives not Showing windows XP
i have a Nunmber of computers in my domain that will not show the mapped drives set up through group policy for particular users on windows XP. when i log on to this pc i'm able to view the shared drives, however users from the same Domain group can access yet one can't with similar profile. -have ran the Group Policy Results Wizard for that machine and various accounts and it shows that the GPO is applied. -When running gpresult /z from the command prompt on that machine it shows that the GPO is applied. -i upgraded to XP SP3 ,installed update KB943729 and did a gpupdate /force and the user logged off then on, the drives don't show.

On the XP you can enable debug information for GPO problem. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221833 Paste the section about the GPO that give you the trouble. Let start the debuging from there. I have run into this before as well. If I recall we had a fundemental issue, like conflicting credintials or something like that. Check the logs as Yagmott says, maybe give you a clue, but I suggest that you look at the basics.BlankMonkey
